In large switch-based interconnection networks, increasing the switch radix results in a decrease in the total number of network components, and consequently the overall cost of the network can be significantly reduced. Moreover, high-radix switches are an attractive option to improve the network performance in terms of latency, since hop count is also reduced. Ocean acidification impairs vermetid reef recruitment

Vermetids form reefs in sub-tropical and warm-temperate waters that protect coasts from erosion, regulate sediment transport and accumulation, serve as carbon sinks and provide habitat for other species. The gastropods that form these reefs brood encapsulated larvae; they are threatened by rapid environmental changes since their ability to disperse is very limited. We used transplant experiments along a natural CO2 gradient to assess ocean acidification effects on the reef-building gastropod Dendropoma petraeum. Rachats d'actions et augmentation de capital : une analyse de leur combinaison appliquée au marché français

Noting that over 22% of capital increases thrown at the French financial market are made when a share repurchase program is in progress, we propose an original study of the combination of the two operations. From 50 operations for the period 1999-2006, we test if the buybacks "prepare" the market before launching the capital increase or means to change the distribution of voting rights. Our results infirm these two hypotheses and confirm rather the proposition of a fortuitous concomitance.

Since the signature of the United Nations Trafficking Protocol in December 2000 that human trafficking has been labelled as a transnational, complex criminal phenomenon.
